This is sort of true, but there are different levels of prefabrication, and different reasons that a structure might be prefabbed. Do I Have/Am I Receiving a Prefab Steel Barn?

Prefabricated, by definition, means “manufactured in standard sizes to be shipped and assembled elsewhere.” This directly applies to the sort of prefab steel barn that you might see in a home improvement chain store. Think about it though; would you really want your barn to be assembled elsewhere and *then* transported to you? It seems like there would be a lot of unknowns in-transit and things could happen to your structure without anyone knowing about it until it was dropped off. It seems as though a prefab steel barn is the more acceptable choice for home and business installations.
