Florida’s name comes from the Spanish word for flowery. Spanish conquistador Ponce de Leon gave it the name on April 2nd, 1513 in honor of the day he landed there, Pascua Florida. Florida became the 27th state on March 3, 1845. Florida is known for its exotic beaches, great warm weather, tourism and the production of oranges. The state capital is Tallahassee, which is home of the University of Florida State. Florida’s biggest attractions are its beaches, as they cover over 663 miles of the coast. It’s known as one of the best states for vacations, getaways and Spring Break. Florida has a tropical climate as it stays pretty warm and mild a majority of the year, which is why it attracts so many tourists. June through September is known as Florida’s rainy season, which are also the months where tropical cyclones, heavy thunderstorms and hurricanes are high risk. Featured Metal Buildings
A carport-style building can be used for residences that need an open car parking area. Families that are directly on the coast often choose this style for its convenience in parking and for its weather-resistant structure. A carport does not have side walls or a front door. It can be manufactured to fit a particular area of your property and to fit any size boat or other vehicle.
A garage structure is one that is fully enclosed, and can be used for car or boat storage, for example. It is usually constructed with a center clearance of seven feet and three inches and a peak height of seven feet and nine inches. You can install two six-by-six doors on a building, and these doors can add a pleasing look to your storage area. Doors can be chosen that blend or match with your residence. Custom painting can add to your new building’s appearance.
A metal barn building has a center structure with one or two attached lean-tos. These lean-tos create three primary storage areas and can be designed like a carport or can be fully enclosed. A custom-fitted metal barn is available with enclosed walls and can be used as a metal storage building. This style of storage unit can be sized for custom vehicles, equipment, boats and other outdoor vehicles. It can also be elongated for RV buses and recreational vans.
