Alabama Metal Barns

Customized Structures for Your State!

Alabama was the 22nd state admitted to the United States on December 14th, 1819 after Andrew Jackson captured the Spanish port of Mobile in 1814. The name Alabama is derived from the language of the local Creek Indians meaning “Tribal Town.” Alabama’s landscape stretches from the gulf shores of Mobile Bay to the southern regions of the Appalachian Mountains in the northeast. In between, fertile land and historic plantations are mixed in with wooded areas, snaking rivers, and sprawling lakes. It’s the location of the Civil Rights Movements that occurred between the 1950’s and 1960’s, the most notable events being the Montgomery Bus Boycott and marches led by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Alabama is considered to have a humid subtropical climate. Summers tend to be very hot with mild winters. It receives on average about 56 inches of rain annually with hailstorms in the spring and summer. Hurricanes strike the coast and southern parts of the state occasionally. Destructive thunderstorms are common throughout the year, and tornadoes occasionally occur as well. The April 25th-28th Tornado Outbreak in 2011 was one of the largest and deadliest tornado outbreaks ever recorded, hitting Alabama the hardest. It left 238 fatalities and cost Alabama billions of dollars to repair. To protect your vehicles and outdoor valuables from hail and destructive winds, check out our selection of customizable metal buildings which feature garages, carports, and barns.
